Hi. I'm Tricia.

Tricia Hagoriles is an award-winning, Toronto-based filmmaker. In 2015, she received the RBC Emerging Canadian Artist Award at the Inside Out Toronto LGBTQ Film Festival for her first short film, Beat. Her most recent shorts include Huwag Mataranta! (one of 10 cinematic tributes to the 2020 Polaris Prize Short List nominees), and Lola’s Wake, which garnered Tricia the WIFT-T Film Award at the 2020 Reel Asian Film Festival.

Her stage work includes her acting as Co-Producer and Creative Director for Colour Me Dragg; a drag, burlesque, and performance art showcase dedicated to racialized artists of the LGBTQ community. Tricia’s directorial stage work includes Boiband the Boyband and the multiple award-winning 2019 Toronto Fringe Festival show, Tita Jokes.

Most recently, Tricia was a resident of the 2019 Director’s Lab at the Canadian Film Centre, has received the inaugural Inside Out + OUTtv Outspoken Documentary Fund for her upcoming work: The Archivist, and is in development with Fae Pictures for an upcoming digital series.
